Is this possible:Report Db is on a machine and IIS is on an other machine

Can we have Reporting Services having its database on a server and distribution server (http://IISserver/Reports)

on another server?We dont want our database server to have IIS and dont want SqlServer installed on our IIS server

Yes, we can have Database Server and IIS Server on different machines.

And how can we set this up?

We choose db instance first when we run Reporting Services Configuration.

and after that I can not choose a Report Server Virtual Directory other than on Default WebSite.

Should we assume that Reporting Services should be running on the machine which hosts the reports in IIS?

And db is on another server. Should that be the configuration?
